Description
The DIR9001 TO CS8412 board is a digital receiver module that directly replaces CS8412/8414. As long as it was originally installed using DIP28 (28 pin direct insertion), it can be directly replaced. The following points need to be noted:
Format setting
The J0 and J1 jumper caps on the DIR9001 TO CS8412 board are set for output format. The setting shown in the figure is in 16 bit RJ format. For digital filters such as DF1700 and SM5813, please use this format.
Settings for several formats:
FMT0 FMT1
L L 16BIT MSB first, right justified, DF1700, SM5813 and other digital filters use this format
L H 24 bit MSB first, left justified, PMD100 can use this format
H L 24 bit, MSB first, right justified, PCM1792/1794/1796/1798, etc. can use this format,
H H 24-bit, MSB-first, I2S , For Philips chips such as NOS1541 and SAA7220, please use this format.
If using 16 bit( I suggest using this mode because CD Only 16 bit), The following settings are available:
DIR9001:
25 feet FMT0 L
26 feet FMT1 L
PMD100:
13 feet JUST H
14 feet BCPL L
If using 24 bit, The following settings are available:

25 feet FMT0 L
26 feet FMT1 H
PMD100:
13 feet JUST L
14 feet BCPL L
PMD100 output:
10 11 feet, according to your dac IC To decide, for example, 20 bit just L H, 24bit just H H.
brand new dir9001 Turn 8412, 26 ls32 Input shaping amplification, square yellow gallbladder capacitor, two sets of regulated power supply, high-quality double-sided fiberglass board, perfect and beautiful layout, with output format settings on the back of the board. Please refer to the specific method for details dir9001 of PDF Information:
DIR9001 generation CS8412 pro Version, put it on the 1541 decoder cs8412 In other words, the sound is noticeably clearer and more details are heard, which is great.
L=Low level (disconnected)
play PMD100 Please note that for a good voice, it's best to turn 19 feet SCAL Set as H.
average CD It's 44.1 KHZ/16Bit
but HDCD It's 44.1 KHZ/20Bit
if PMD100 setting
13 H
14 L
Will I not receive it HDCD Format?
HDCD Even if using 20 during recording bit The recording, in the final production CD When recording, it is also necessary to convert back CD Of 44.1 KHz/16bit The format cannot be 44.1 KHz/20bit Therefore, there is no need to worry about this issue.
I think steel Brother, I got the concept wrong, PMD100 The 13 legs are set as L, yes left-justified The method of receiving data can be increased to 24 bit, If it is related to DIR If there is no uplink connection between chips, it is still CD The original information, when added to the up conversion chip, due to the data being recalculated, outputs 16 regardless of the up conversion bit Still 24 bit,HDCD All information will be lost, which is related to PMD100 The settings are irrelevant.
in addition PMD100 Only supported up to 55 KHz, Therefore, it is impossible to access an up conversion, but generally up conversion chips can both up convert, down convert, or simply up convert bit And convert data formats, whether it's up conversion or up conversion bit,HDCD Information will be lost.
